Student Auto Loans – Lenders Offer Car Loans With Limited Income

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

As many car loan lenders offer car loans for students today at lower interest rates as well as affordable terms and conditions, gone are the days when college students were required to produce credit ratings to secure an auto loan in order to qualify for one. Currently there are credit lenders who provide college students with an array of auto loan products like bad credit student auto loans, used car loans; auto loans post bankruptcy, etc. Irrespective of their credit histories, college students today can purchase new or used cars by availing a preferable financial option provided by one of the online creditors, which is suitable to their needs and requirements. Online services for college student car loans have revolutionized the entire gamut of car financing solutions for college students. Browsing on the internet throws you up to a whole new world of car financing companies for college students, by just merely clicking!

Most students have either a bad or no credit history and auto loan companies who offer auto loan for college students are aware of this reality. Consequently, car finances are available to collegians with bad credit or no credit as well. However, to secure a favorable deal when applying online for student car loans, college students should seek multiple quotes from different student car finance solution providers along with terms of loan. As most of the auto finance products for collegians are custom built for either students with a bad or no credit standing, expect higher interest rates. Typically, car loan rates for new cars would be higher than the new car finance. While the rates of interest offered for particular auto finance would form the domain for considering viability of a student car loan, there could be other conditions like pre-payment penalties for premature loan closure as well. So it is essential to carefully peruse the terms and conditions made in the offer document. You should go for a lender who accords the most flexible loan terms.

You should know that student auto loans provided to college students by various lenders are primarily secured loans as the car itself serves as collateral. Hence, in case of any default in monthly payments, the creditor would seize the vehicle and sell it off. Even a special military auto loans program is offered for armed personnel. A sizable cash advance could be of great help in securing lower monthly installments at affordable loan rates. A co-signer could be vital in securing a car finance approval for college students, as there are many car loan lenders who offer co-signed student car loans to reduce the lending risk. This information could be vital for college students with sub-prime or no credit history who are considering applying for student car finance and securing a favorable solution which is suitable for you.

The Infinite Benefits of Xenon Replacement Bulbs

Sunday, May 29th, 2011

To replace low intensity factory installed halogen bulbs with more powerful and effective headlights, the aftermarket car parts manufacturers provide great xenon replacement bulbs or HID kits. These bulbs produce about 3 times more light than ordinary headlights and are therefore a preferred choice of a lot of car enthusiasts out there. These kits are designed to be more sturdy and cost-effective than stock headlight kits as they last for a long time because of their robustness and vigor. In addition to this, xenon bulbs consume very less power as compared to ordinary bulbs and therefore they are a truly beneficial investment towards the long-term maintenance of your car.

Most of the modern cars today come equipped with high intensity discharge or HID lights. However, some people still want to replace them with stronger and longer lasting xenon bulbs which are very easy to install. It is a known fact that these bulbs produce a very strong white light which is sufficient to see even in sheer darkness. That is why these headlight kits are meant for a better and more secure ride during the night. Furthermore, they are also very helpful when one has to drive in foggy atmosphere or intense weather conditions. They provide better visibility and hence help to prevent accidents and mishaps.

Xenon bulbs produce higher wattage output than ordinary bulbs. They can save a considerable amount of power particularly on long routes. This additional power can then be utilized for other operations for a smoother and more enjoyable journey. These bulbs come in a number of different colors like crystal white, yellow or gold, blue etc. To install these xenon replacement kits you don’t need the assistance of a mechanic. They come with a complete instructions booklet to help you throughout the process of installation. These kits are not very expensive at all and therefore can make a huge difference in overall performance of your vehicle.

It is good to know that xenon bulbs are the ones used in flashlights. You can imagine how much more light they are able to produce as compared to ordinary halogen bulbs. You can get them in any color you want by specifying the Kelvin temperature of these bulbs. These amazing systems are made up of three parts. However, if you are not looking for an entire replacement kit, you can also buy individual parts like bulbs, ballasts or igniters. There are some alternatives available on the market to HID conversion kits like plasma type bulbs. But those who are looking for true luxury headlights should buy the HID kits which come with xenon bulbs.

The best way to search for a compatible HID kit for your car is to browse through the huge online collection. All you have to do is specify your car make, model and year and then select among a number of options presented to you. Many people prefer this option of buying HID conversion kits and xenon headlight bulbs online because it allows them to save a substantial amount of money.

Xenon replacement bulbs can reflect the roadside signs and reflectors better than ordinary halogen bulbs. This is again another benefit which makes them superior to factory installed headlights. Since these kits are manufactured by using high-quality materials, they resist shocks better than ordinary kits. As a result they don’t wear out very quickly and last for many years. In addition to this, xenon headlights are designed to be waterproof as well. Those who want to invest in a gainful modification for long-standing protection of their car should consider installing these wonderful headlights that come with powerful xenon bulbs.

Maintaining a Mercedes Headlight Lens

Friday, May 27th, 2011

Headlights are often neglected because automobile owners figure that they are getting washed with the rest of the exterior. However, headlight lenses, even among the most luxurious cars such as Mercedes Benz, are as susceptible to debris and UV degradation as the body paint, perhaps even worse. For example, a Mercedes Benz Headlight Lens is made of polycarbonate plastic in order to make them impact resistant. This plastic is functional, but it can cloud over time as a result of UV exposure. As the lens gets blurred, it restricts the amount of light that can pass through the lens causing reduced visibility. Some basic maintenance and cleaning techniques could be made to correct different problems that may infringe a Mercedes Headlight Lens’ function.

A dirty, yellowed, cloudy and otherwise dim set of headlights is one of the most common problems. Unlike a burned out bulb, yellowing headlight lenses make a C230 or SL60′s lights dimmer slowly over time. Because of this, they easier to ignore. The limited field of vision, however, can pose dangers for the driver and his/her passengers. The easiest way to repair a Mercedes Benz Headlight Lens with yellow or cloudy lenses is to use a lens polishing compound, known also as a rubbing compound. The cleaning method is to rub the lens with wet, fine-grain (1000 grit) sandpaper first. For major damage, a courser grain of sandpaper is needed, perhaps that is 5000 grit. The next step is to polish the lens with a course red polishing compound followed by a fine white compound. When polishing is done, the lens can be cleansed with Armor All or Simple Green. While polishing usually works, some lenses may though, be beyond repair and need to be replaced. In a Mercedes Benz Headlight Lens that accumulates water, water needs to be removed first, before repairing the leak. For plastic lenses, the primary step is to remove the lens and then carefully drill a small hole into the bottom of the lens. Next, the water can be drained out and the hole filled with silicone, urethane, or plastic resin. If a crack or hole is found in the lens, one can repair it with the same product used to patch the drainage hole. Another possible source of leaks is a break in the seal around the headlights. These seals can be repaired with silicone.

Headlights that are dim or incorrectly aligned is a potential accident-factor. Properly aligned headlights should be aimed a little bit low. Incorrect installation, fender benders, or rough driving conditions can knock headlights out of alignment. This misalignment increases glare for the driver and oncoming drivers and impairs his depth of perception.

Although headlight problems are sometimes caused by electrical faults that need professional repair, most problems are simpler to fix. Even if an owner is not all that handy with cars, he/she can learn how to repair headlights in very little time. A burned out bulb is easy to replace and yellow headlight lenses can be cleaned with easy-to-find products. It is always advisable to learn hot to fix simple Mercedes Benz Headlight Lens problems so as to save maintenance and service costs. Headlights are one of the most important safety features on a car, but they can only do their job if they are properly maintained.

Should You Convert Your Car To A Hydrogen On Demand Vehicle?

Friday, May 27th, 2011

Gas prices are going through the roof, and the fuel economy question is getting get very serious. Gas prices near me, in Los Angeles, are now pushing or over $4 per gallon for regular unleaded, OUCH. Gas Prices may soar to between $7 and $10 a Gallon. Get ready for another economic shock of major proportions. A virtual doubling of prices at the gas pump to as much as $10 a gallon. By the time that we cash our pay checks, we pretty much start calculating how much we will be spending on gas. We are pretty much just working for taxes, bills and gas.

So then it is a no brainer to convert your car to run on water or HHO gas. Doing so can save you over from 25% to 100% in fuel costs. Less than one gallon of water provides over 1800 gallons of HHO gas, which can literally last for months and significantly increase your vehicle’s fuel efficiently, improve emissions, and save you money. It has already helped me save tremendously on fuel costs. And it only requires you to make a 5-minute maintenance check every week to make sure that everything is working correctly. Not only will you save money; you’ll reduce your carbon footprint to help the planet.

How Often Should I Replace the Shocks and Struts?

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Almost every time I walk into a car repair shop, I see advertisements about shocks and struts. Some mechanic shops will tell you that those are necessary for your safety, and other will tell you it gives you a smother ride, and more comforting drive on uneven roads. But the question is, do you need to invest into changing them, and if at all, how would it hurt you.

If you continue to drive on your worn out shocks and struts, you are necessarily putting yourself in risk of creating a driving hazard, however, statistical and physical studies have concluded that worn shock increase the stopping distance for a car driving on a rough surface. So, if you were someone that wants to keep their car in perfect driving condition, how often do you change the struts and shocks.

Different manufacturers suggest different odometer readings for changing them. However, after detailed interviewing with my network of trusted mechanics, I came to the conclusion that it is almost impossible to a certain point in the car’s life that the the struts and shocks are to be replaced. Some factory shocks may show aging signs after only 30,000 or 40,000 miles. Struts usually last around 50,000 or 60,000 miles. Shocks and struts do not require replacing at specific mileage intervals like filters or spark plugs. This is simply because the damping characteristics of the parts gradually deteriorates over time. And since you are driving the car pretty much everyday, the decline in the quality of the drive is going to happen with out you noticing.

Sunday, May 22nd, 2011

HID stands for High Intensity Discharger and HID kits are used for upgrading a vehicle’s headlights. Some of the benefits of this modification include low power consumption and a better intensity of light. Many companies have recognized the worth of HID lights and therefore these lights are part of almost all new car and truck models. However, if you have an old car and would like to improve its performance then installing an HID conversion kit can prove to be a great modification. Buying these kits from a reputable car parts manufacturer is a good option to avoid legal issues and other reliability problems.

It has been found that HID lights produce up to 3 times more light than simple halogen bulbs which are factory installed. Furthermore, they require only 35 Watt power as compared to 55 Watt required by halogen bulbs. Dodge Charger Body Kits

Sunday, May 22nd, 2011

Well, the good news is you do not have to be a racer to give your car an aesthetic lift, the secret actually lies with body kits. Body kits are exterior modifications for your cars made to not only enhance the look of your car but also improve its aerodynamics.

Body kits are not hard to find. Dodge charger body kits, for example, can be found in your neighborhood shops. In addition to that, it can also be found online. If you are the type who tends to save a lot. Then a better decision would be to purchase online. Though purchasing online may seem to be convenient, you have to be very careful of the company you are dealing with. Considering the huge numbers of scammers around, it is not unlikely that you will encounter one or two of them. In order to avoid these scammers, you will have to take some precautionary measures, for instance, check with Better Business Bureau if the company you want to deal with is registered with them. If the company is registered with them then that must be a go sign, but if the company is not, then it is recommended that you look for other information that can verify the legitimacy of the company.

When you have already verified and found yourself a trusted body kits seller, and before you purchase a Dodge charger body kit, take note of these reminders.

When buying a charger body kit, you should be aware of the different types of kits first: lip, bumper replacement, wide body. These types of kit can all enhance the look of your car. Depending on the modification and style you have in mind, you will have to purchase one of these. Apart from the types, you also have to take note of the materials body kits are made of. Basically, body kits are either made of urethane or fiberglass.

Urethane gives more flexibility and is very well durable if you live in cold places and bumpy roads. Urethane is highly resistant to damages and does not crack easily. The only thing not recommended about urethane though, is that when it breaks, it can never be repaired.

Unlike urethane, fiberglass is for those who live in areas where the weather is fine and roads are smooth. Because fiberglass can easily be damaged, it should only be used in places where the roads are nice. Depending again on your needs, you will have to choose one between a urethane or a fiberglass.

After choosing which kind and type of charger body kit is for you, make sure that the kit you will order or purchase matches the frame of your car. Body kits are made for specific make and models and you cannot force a body kit to fit your car if it is specifically made for another car type and model.

Considering and keeping in mind these reminders will help you arrive in an informed decision and avoid a possible waste of money.
